2022 sees the PowerStroke diesel engine put out to pasture, but with five engine choices, plus multiple cab, box, trim, and accessory options, the power you expect and the capability you need are still here.

We thought the PowerBoost hybrid powertrain introduced for 2021 was impressive, but even it pales next to the 2022 Ford F-150 Lightning. For the first time, you get all the best of an EV and an uncompromising Ford truck. In standard range guise, it’s capable of 426 horsepower, 775 lb-ft of torque, and up to 230 miles on a charge; the long-range variant boosts range to 300 miles, while also raising output to 563 horsepower.
