Q: Why is the warranty coverage it brings significant?

A: The warranty coverage provided with the Certification programs is significant because it could potentially save quite a bit of money at the time of purchase, and during the duration of ownership by covering unplanned mechanical breakdown expenses. The coverage includes both parts. 

AND labor. If you were to purchase an "extended warranty" on a vehicle that wasn't being offered as a Certified vehicle, you would likely have to pay thousands of dollars extra to get the same coverage.

Q: Is there a deductible with the warranty coverage for Certified Pre-Owned?

A: For any covered repairs that fall within the Certified warranty coverage parameters, you will have a $100 deductible.

Q: Where do I have to go to have my warranty work on my Certified Pre-Owned done?

A: You will want to take your Certified vehicle back to the manufacturer's dealerships, as they have factory-trained technicians who are best suited to maintain and repair your vehicle to like-new standards.

Q: If I find a used car on your lot that is not certified, but want it to be, will the dealership do that?

A: As long as the vehicle meets the criteria standards set by the manufacturer, the vehicle can be Certified

Q: Do the Certified warranties transfer over to a new buyer if we decide to sell our vehicle to another individual?

A: The manufacturer Certification will stay with the vehicle if ownership is transferred.

Q: What is covered by the Certified warranties and for how long?

A: For Ford Certification, that depends on the level of Certification offered for the vehicle by the dealer. There are currently two programs under Ford Blue Advantage Certification: Gold Certified and Blue Certified.

A: For Gold Certified, Comprehensive Coverage includes 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the expiration of the New-Vehicle Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty coverage, or the date-of-sale (whichever is later). This is a comprehensive Limited Warranty, covering 1,000+ components. Then, Powertrain Coverage includes 7 years from the original new-vehicle warranty start date or 100,000 miles (whichever occurs first). This is a Limited Warranty for powertrain, covering select major components.

A: For Blue Certified on a Ford brand vehicle the Comprehensive Limited Warranty begins at the expiration of the New-Vehicle Limited Warranty, or the date-of-sale (whichever is later). For non-Ford vehicles, Comprehensive Coverage includes 3 months or 4,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the signature date of the Ford Blue Advantage - Blue Certified purchase. This is a comprehensive Limited Warranty, covering 1,000+ components.
