Special intervals for this service vary from 5,000 to 7,500 miles.
Your service adviser can help you determine the schedule that best fits your driving habits.
- Change engine oil using MotorCraft Synthetic blend and reset reminder (if equipped)
- Install MotorCraft premium oil filter or equivalent
- Check and fill fluids: coolant recovery reservoir, brake, power steering and transmission
- Inspect and adjust air pressure in all tires and reset tire pressure monitoring system (if equipped)
- Inspect half shade boots (if equipped)
- Inspect and lubricate steering, steering linkage, suspension, drive shaft u-joints (if equipped with grease fittings), slip yoke (if equipped) and transmission shift linkage
- Rotate tires and inspect for unusual wear and axle shaft end play
- Test battery and inspect connections
- Inspect parking brake operation
- Inspect front disk brakes
- Inspect rear brake linings
- Inspect windshield washer spray and wiper operation and fill washer fluid
- Inspect radiator, heater, and air conditioning hoses for leakage or damage and test coolant protection
- Check operation of exterior lamps, turn signals hazard warning lights and horn
- Inspect clutch operation (applicable vehicles)
- Inspect exhaust system for leakage, damage, loose parts and remove any foreign material trapped by shielding
- Wash vehicle exterior
